I normally don't like writing about competition, but on Friday, there was another company that ran an event in the UK. They cancelled and didn't bother telling anyone.
They certianly didn't tell me. I pre-registered and flew to London on July 20 and went to the location at 9 Adam Street.
*There was no event.*
They didn't even change their website. Below are screenshots of their website taken on July 22, 2 DAYS after the date the event was supposed to take place.
There was no excuse here for what is clearly incompetence.
The reason why I brought this up is because there now have been 3 conferences, each run by different companies that have canceled. As an organizer, it upsets me. This shakes confidence in those inside and outside the industry.
My policy is simple: I do not cancel iDate or SNC conferences. If you see an event listed, we have it.

How shabby is that! As a conference producer there's nothing worse than bailing on a conference. Ah well, there is one thing worse. Bailing on a conference and not letting the attendees know its been canceled. Too bad.
Marc has been running the internet dating conferences since 2004, and he's been solid as a rock. He's never had to cancel a conference because he produces quality events and pulls in a quality crowd. Half Marc's events are about the speakers, the other three quarters is about the networking. _________________ Mark Brooks

As the organiser of the Online Dating Fourm event you refer to I can advise that the event was postponed at the request of the key sponsors so that we can offer a bigger forum later in the year.
Anyone who booked online or registered their interest with me directly was notified by email accordingly.
The home page website was also updated accordingly 2 weeks prior to the original event date with a notice about the change of date. www.onlinedatingforum.biz
Unfortunately Marc I do not have any correspondence or record of you having registered your interest in attending or having paid for your place at the event, all attendees were asked to book in advance.
Feel free to contact me direct to discuss further.
Regards
