New York, NY--Ticonderoga Ventures, Inc. announces that Twinewill present at the 38th iDate Dating Industry Conference. The event takes place on June 4-6, 2014 at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA.

Twine’s product visionary Rohit Singal, will discuss mobile dating innovation. Singal is the founder and CEO of Sourcebits, the leading mobile development services company that created Twine and Twine Canvas.

Singal, who’s launched dozens of products across a range of categories, will discuss his company’s process when creating an app that challenges traditional industry practices. His talk will cover the “design thinking” approach to ideation and strategy his team put into practice, and how it can be used to test hypothesis in matchmaking and explore new mobile dating dynamics. Singal challenges the status quo in dating apps, and his session will explore the opportunities for future innovations.

Registration for the event can be made at

Sourcebits launched its first dating app, Twine, in mid-2013. The intellectual flirting app focuses on personality before physicality. Users are matched based on their Facebook interests and proximity. They chat and have blurry profile pictures until they request a “reveal” to see the clear image.

Twine Canvas, launched in early 2014, also offers an alternative to “meat-market” apps focused on shallow selfies. Users express themselves to meet interesting people by creating a personality canvas - a picture collage illustrating their hobbies and activities. People can browse the canvas gallery to like interesting people. Mutual matches reveal profile pictures and can then begin chatting.
