Does anyone have experience of what converts best on a paid dating site? tickets, jobs, anything?

No adsense, please, we don't want to promote competitors.

I wouldn't recommend putting anything on the preview section of your site other than your compelling offer . You want to convert visitors to one thing on your preview section and one thing only - signing up.

Once they are a member you can try all kinds of promotions via email or on site and see what works better for your audience. Be careful not to turn people off with too much additional promotion.

You're probably right about preview.

We are trying tickets banner in search results at this point, but it doesn't look very promising - several hours, 2000 impressions, 1 click only.
