Study Finds Potential Dangers In Online Dating

9NEWS - Jan 12 - A study, conducted by the University of Colorado Boulder's Leeds School of Business, discovered that 21 of 90 dating sites did not properly remove location data from photos uploaded by their users. Many of the profile photos submitted by users were taken with cameras and cellphones containing Global Positioning System (GPS) chips. The photos contain metadata that can provide the GPS coordinates showing exactly where the photo was taken. Dating websites have the ability to scrub the metadata from photos and the study found that many do.

MASHABLE - Jan 13 - Hitch.me is a dating site for LinkedIn professionals. Hitch.me lets users browse through LinkedIn professionals all over the world, send them private smiles, pitches (250 characters) and private images and videos.
