First Man director Damien Chazelle is probably crossing his fingers. His biopic about Neil Armstrong, the First man Full Movie to walk on the moon, has been well received by critics. The movie is already being tipped as one of the biggest names going into Oscar season. After the 2017 Oscar mix-up, Chazelle may be poised to finally take home the award for Best Picture - for real this time. With the movie still in cinemas, some movie-buffs are hoping to be able to dissect it ahead of the awards season. But to do so, you'll have to head back to the cinema.First Man is not available online to stream, and any site offering the movie is likely illegal so steer clear. Some movies are granted a limited release in cinemas alongside a digital download release.First Man is not one of them.
Streaming sites like Netflix have stepped into the filmmaking arena, however, which confuses matters.Movies like The Ballad of Buster Scruggs, for example, is being shown at the London Film Festival. But its premiere will be on Netflix, meaning folks with a subscription will be able to watch it from the comfort of their own homes.First Man was an out-and-out theatrical release and will likely get its digital download release in January 2019.This means you'll be able to purchase it to watch on a site like Amazon Video or iTunes. For those waiting for the movie to arrive on Netflix, it could take many more months.Especially if the film wins the awards its tipped to.
First Man, the Neil Armstrong biopic from Whiplash and La La Land director Damien Chazelle, is full of searing images that I can’t shake from my mind. The film is a thrilling account of the space race from the eyes of its most famous figure, highlighted by heart-pounding scenes of spaceflight. After watching it on a 100-foot IMAX screen, I can’t imagine seeing it any other way.
