RealMe Report: 2 in 3 Online Daters Have Lowered Their Standards

PR NEWSWIRE - Sep 10 - A new survey by RealMe reveals the potential lasting impact of the coronavirus on online dating behaviors, including attitudes on loneliness and singledom in the "new normal." 67% of respondents say they are "less okay" with being single during this time and a similar proportion increasingly worried about finding a partner. 64% of respondents are less picky with their matches. "There's no denying the pandemic is driving new online behaviors, which are here to stay," says Mark Brooks, online dating expert and CEO of the Internet Dating Excellence Association (IDEA). Info Edge: Jeevansathi Was the Only Business Which Did Well in Q1

ECONOMIC TIMES - Sep 8 - Info Edge, an Indian Internet company, said its overall Q1 billing was down 44% YOY. Jeevansaathi, the matchmaking company, was actually the only business in their portfolio which did well in Q1. It kept growing through the lockdown as well. Jeevansathi billings grew by 13% in Q1.


Match Says DOJ Closes Probe Into FTC Complaint

REUTERS - Sep 8 - Match Group said the U.S. Department of Justice has closed its investigation relating to a lawsuit filed by the Federal Trade Commission on the dating apps owner's business practices. The FTC last September sued Match, alleging that it knowingly sent automated advertisements via Match.com with expressions of interest from accounts which it knew were likely fake to draw in potential subscribers.

BLK App Connects Black Singles

CHICAGO DEFENDER - Sep 5 - In its third year, BLK's online dating app has quickly become the largest online dating app for Black singles.
