Would appreciate feedback only on percentages of male to female members...members being whole database - new, trial, paying, re-subscribing, old and so on.

Know what people quote in press but would be good to know what others in the dating world get...

Plentyof Fish, DR/DatingDirect - any ideas?

Seems most press quote 70% male to 30% female....

Hi Toby,

We have exclusive partnerships with Handbag.com, iVillage.co.uk, Femail.co.uk and gm.tv which are the main female sites in the UK. As a consequence or ratio is 55% male 45% female which I think is one of the best ratios in the industry.

I think a better question is what is the ratio of active users. Even if you have a 20% daily female signup ratio, you'll find if you look at active daily users of the site there will be 30%+ women.

..and from there you pose another question of what is the definition of an active user, hence easier to just ask the straight forward m/f ratio overall.

After all our ideas of what's an active user will very from site to site and company to company.
