It’s a Friday evening and you call your friends up to go out for the night, and they’ve all got the same response, they’re all tied up with plans with their partners. Why not come try out a speed dating event so you can meet someone to spend the evening with? It’s always a nice feeling to know you’re loved and cared about, so let us help you create that little piece of happiness that you may be missing from your life.

Speed Dating in London gives at least 10 couples the chance to sit down and have a nice quick chat, getting to know the ins and outs of the person they are meeting. The four minutes should just be enough time to let you know if you’re going to want to spend some more time with them outside of the Speed Dating in London event.

We interviewed just a few, of our many, clients who successfully have clicked with someone at one of our speed dating events, and here are a few of the tips they wanted to share to anyone new to speed dating;

Keep the conversation light and don’t give away too much information about yourself
Avoid trying too hard to impress potential dates. Try your best to keep everything light and fun, as everyone is here to have a positive and good evening.

Don’t go too deep into your past, especially on matters concerning relationships that you’ve had prior to this date. By not giving away too much information about yourself, that leaves others wanting to know more, and to get to know you a little better after the event.

Take notes, but don’t ignore your date
As you will be going on plenty of dates with many other singles, it will be easy to forget or mix up some of their names. Ensure you use the speeding ticket to make a quick note at the end of each date about the person, whether its good or bad.

Try and take your notes between dates, so you can focus just on the new person in front of you, and not trying to recall if your last dates’ name was ‘Eric’ or ‘Erin’. Writing notes down during your date will make it seem like an interview and make your date feel very uncomfortable. By writing after your date, it will also allow for more access to chat freely and without distraction.

Stay afterwards and have a drink at the bar
If you meet someone that you fancy at the event, stay after the event is over and continue chatting. Though the speed dating event is over, it doesn’t necessarily mean that the night is over, so take this opportunity to spend more than 4 minutes with someone that you hit it off with!

With these tips, you should be well on your way to a successful evening of Speed Dating in London. What are you waiting for? Go reserve a spot at your nearest speed dating event!
