Investors Fall Out Of Love With

TELEGRAPH.CO.UK - Feb 8 - Investors have fallen out of love with after a BBC radio show started investigating the company as part of a programme about the online dating world. Cupid was forced to tell the stock market it was under scrutiny after shares crashed by as much as 13pc in morning trading. The radio programme will air on BBC Radio 5 Live on Sunday. Cupid would not disclose details of the investigation. Tinder: New Dating App

WSJ - Feb 7 - Tinder, a dating app, launched in September by cofounders Sean Rad and Justin Mateen and is quickly picking up traction. Users connect to their Facebook profile, and it grabs four photos to use as their profile photos on Tinder. It then shows them photos of other members, and tehy swipe left to say they don’t like them, or right to say they like them. If both members say they like each other, it’ll open up a chat prompt. CNBC - Feb 6 - Neil Clark Warren is a Christian theologian who worked as a clinical psychologist for 35 years, counseling married couples. He formulated a set of 29 characteristics that he said define successful relationships. He called them the “Dimensions of Compatibility.” In 2000, he founded eHarmony with his son-in-law Greg Forgatch. Warren attributes some of the company’s success to advertising. eHarmony has been the target of numerous lawsuits for its refusal to match same-sex couples. In 2008, eHarmony reached a settlement and agreed to launch a new website that would cater to same-sex couples. "It has really damaged our company. I have said that eHarmony really ought to put up $10M and ask other companies to put up money and do a really first class job of figuring out homosexuality. Jetstar Airlines Partners With RSVP For Love Flight

THE AUSTRALIAN - Feb 5 - A plane with a group of 28 selected single passengers will fly from Sydney to the Gold Coast on Feb 14 in their search for romance. The group have been selected for the flight via an application process hosted on RSVP site. There will be speed dating over champagne and breakfast, group activities and a three-course lunch at SkyPoint on the Gold Coast. Jestar isn't the first airline to play mile-high matchmaker. Pair Buys UK’s Cupple And Rebrands As Couple

TECH CRUNCH - Feb 3 - Tenthbit, the mobile app studio behind the couples app Pair, has bought Cupple, a UK-based rival mobile app for two people only, and has rebranded itself as Couple. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Tenthbit raised a seed round of $4.2M in May 2012. Cupple will, for now, remain as a standalone app, but users will have the ability to migrate their data to Couple from Cupple if they choose. Cupple did not disclose current usage figures, downloads or geographical reach.
